Not every project fits neatly into Learn or Explore. If you’ve got something you’re working through, whether it’s a personal project, a technique you’re practicing, or just something on your mind, this is the place to talk it out with the community.

My biggest project by far has been Camera Dates.

I honestly love working on it; whether it becomes part of my retirement or not, it will remain something I’m proud to have built.

The funny thing is, I’m learning right alongside everyone else. I research, write, design, experiment, build, change things, and figure things out as I go. Pretty much everything you see across Camera Dates has been created one piece at a time while I’m learning how to make the whole thing better.

That’s probably one of the things I enjoy most about it. I’m not just building a photography site. I’m building something that pushes me to keep learning, keep creating, and hopefully help other photographers do the same.

There’s still a long way to go, but I’m enjoying the process more than I ever expected.
